Questions about official Lemhi County criminal records belong with the office that created or keeps the record. The contacts below route court files, sheriff reports, statewide histories, and police records to their proper custodians. This private resource cannot retrieve, change, or certify a government record.

This Is Not a Government Office. We run a private reference site. We cannot pull criminal records, run official background checks, remove or correct a record, or accept expungement filings for anyone. For any of those, you need to reach the right government office directly.

Need an Official Record?

Use the office tied to the record type. County and court offices share the courthouse complex, but they keep separate files:

  • Court case files: see criminal court case records, or contact the clerk of the court that heard the case
  • Criminal records and rap sheets: contact the Idaho State Police Bureau of Criminal Identification
  • Arrest, booking, and jail records: contact the Lemhi County sheriff's records unit
  • Official background checks: order through the Idaho State Police Bureau of Criminal Identification
  • Police reports and incident records: contact the agency that wrote the report
  • Expungement and record sealing: file with the court that heard the case

For arrest, incident, dispatch, and jail material, contact the Lemhi County Sheriff's Office, 206 Courthouse Drive, Salmon, ID 83467, 208-742-1680. Public office hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nonemergency dispatch is 208-756-8980.

For District or Magistrate case files, contact the Lemhi County District Court Clerk at the same street address, 208-742-1673. General courthouse hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The county's written public-record fallback uses clerk@lemhicountyidaho.org, fax 208-756-8424, or 208-756-2815 extension 1738.
